If you have a specific question, please email me and I will post it if I can find the answer.

**Thanks to POW Network for doing all the legwork in getting these military records compiled! They can be found here.

Q: Why are you making all of this information public?
A:
Because the next victim of his insatiable desire to lie may be YOU!

Q: When did David start at Boys Ranch?
A:
David told me that he'd started at Boys Ranch in the second grade, but according to the CEO of the ranch David entered the ranch in 1991, which would have put him in 6th grade and left when he graduated High School in 1997.

Q: Where do I go to report a suspected military fraud?
A:
Start with the POW Network. Email them at info@pownetwork.org and tell them what you know.

Q:Is that the  "U.S. Navy Master Diver badge"
A:
Thanks to some Eagle Eyes out there, the "U.S. Navy Master Diver badge" has been spotted on David's uniform. Here is why he could NOT have earned that: In his Bio, he states that he went to Panama City, FL for Special Forces Dive School. Had he actually been to SF Dive school, it would have been in Key West, FL and to quote my Eagle Eye "The actual name of the SF Dive Badge is the "Special Operations Diver Badge"" David did some bad research on this one

Q: Are military records of public domain?
A:
To an extent they are, this is where the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) comes into play. You need to write up a letter using the specific guidelines. You can download the one’s the POW Network submitted and use the same format here. More on the FOIA can be read here.

Q: Has anyone checked out the commander and CSM in the nomination letters?  Are they real?  If so, what do they have to say?
A:
There is no evidence to support anything of substance in those nomination letters. Assume everything false about it until proven otherwise.

Q: David was wearing a Fleet Marine Force Warfare Device, did he earn that while in the navy or is that another fake award too?
A:
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I think it's another fake award. And now, thanks to an Eagle Eye reader, this has further clarification. The reader writes "...
the Fleet Marine Force Enlisted Warfare Specialist device wasn't approved for wear by the US Navy until November 2002.  Since your husband left naval service in May 2001, he would not have had the opportunity to qualify for the device." Excelent work!

Q: Do you have a copy of the 'Nomination' letters?
A:
I do in fact, they can be found here

Q: Do you have a copy of the indictment?
A:
Yes. It can be located Right here

Q: Was David ever shot while serving in the military?
A:
No, there are no records to indicate that he was ever injured while in the line of duty. Do not pass his 'injuries' off as being anything more than a scar. Had he actually been shot, as he claims, there would be significant damage done to his person.

Q: So he was not shot in the shoulder with an AK47, how did it happen then?
A:
It is an old high school football injury. There were several surgeries on it though.

Q: Was David ever in the military?
A:
Yes. He spent 2 years 4 months 6 days in the Navy, and 3 years 11 months 9 days in the Army.

Q: What is David's current rank?
A:
Private E1

Q: Was he ever deployed to Iraq?
A:
Nope.

Q: Was he Honorably Discharged from the Army?
A:
No. It was Other than Honorable in lieu of court-martial

Q: Court-Martial? For what?
A:
Doing exactly what he has done now: Falsely representing himself as Valor recipient.

Q: Did he spend time in the Brig?
A:
Yes, he was ordered to "Travel at Government Expense" to Ft. Knox.  His orders were for 100 days, but was released 7-9 days early for good behavior.

Q: Was he ever a Silver Star, Purple Heart or Legion of Merit recipient?
A:
None of these were ever awarded to him.

Q: Was he ever nominated for the Medal of Honor?
A:
No. There were two "nominations" neither of which were real. In fact, they both had many inaccuracies and misspellings.

Q: Did he actually receive the MOH?
A:
Nope

Q: What awards DID he receive in the military?
A:
Navy:
Meritorious Unit Commendation
   Army:
1 Army Commendation Medal
2 Army Achievement Medals
1 Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
1 Army Good Conduct Medal/ 1 Jun-31 May 04
1 National Defense Service Medal

1 Medal of Honor
3 Silver Stars
3 Purple Hearts
1 Legion of Merit
1 Meritorious Service Medal

1 Deployment to Afghanistan

Q: How about the Parachute and Special Forces Tab? That HAS to be real, right?
A.
No, The parachute badge and SF Tab make no sense. You have to attend Special Forces Assessment and Selection and then move on to the qual course. Jump school is at Benning. His last DD214 states that he was a 91W1F (P not F identifier means parachutist).  His ERB states that he was assigned to Hood, Ft Sam, Yong San, Korea and Rucker--------the Special Warfare Center and School at Ft Bragg conducts all SF Training. He is definitely NOT SF qualified -18D Medic.   *These were listed on his DD214 but are believed to be a forged.
